CB Longs are only slightly louder than an air rifle. Definately subsonic. I shot an old hardcover book with them and they barely penetrated the cover + 50 pages, IIRC.

No. A CB Long is the same size as a 22LR. A regular CB cap is tiny and you have to load them one at a time. They are also somewhat quieter than a CB long. Almost like one snapping one's tongue. :coold:

Is the CB Long enough to cycle the action?

    In a semi-auto? I seriously doubt it.

Aguila SSS are pretty quiet and I always grouped really well with them.

CBs won't cycle a semi-auto. PMC moderators are pretty quiet and will cycle the action most of the time in my 10/22. Rem subsonics aren't as quiet as the PMC, but will always cycle the bolt.

DO NOT use Aquila SSS in a gun with a can on it. ALL can manufacturers say they will not honor warranty on baffle strikes because the standard twist is not enough to stablize the heavy bullet.

I like Win Dynapoints, but since they came back on the market at double what they were, I'm not getting them currently. Plus, we have no KMarts.

I got a box of those and they all keyholed at a target that was like 10 yrds away in my 10/22. :dunno: Not sure what was up with that.

since the aquila SS is 60gr compared to the normal 30-40gr of .22lr bullets, it needs a faster twist rate to stabilize. something along the lines of 1/8"-1/9". .22lr barrels are usually around 1/12"

I have 2 boxes of Calibri's. But never shot them. I bought them to shoot squirrels in the city without the neighbors getting mad, but I've moved so theres no use now.
