I need a PSU, under $80 that will run my 7800GT, 1 HD, 1 Burner, AMD 3500, 2gig ram... probably no less than 450w...

Currently I have this in my cart, only downside to this one is the rebate, and short 20/4pin cable.

Must fit in Cooler Master Cavalier 1 case (midtower)

Been running good in 8 computers, all between 1-2 years. Yay to you. :ugh2:

I love Enermax PSU's. That's a good one indeed, my friend's been running it for a while now, he loves the thing.

It is far from a good power supply, sorry. I have one sitting in my closet that I am trying to get rid of because i couldn't stand how bloody loud it was.

Uh...I have the 430 ThermalTake TR2. Love it to death. I actually got the bastard to fit in my X-QPACK...Just barely.

I've also used these in two other builds with no issues. They are good quality, cheap, powerful, and flexible PSU's.

Now, ThermalTake's heatsinks suck rabid red rockets.

What the fuck? My bro had the 480w Xaxer with see-through windows. It finally kicked out. Considering his machine, when on, is almost always under load (He's been playing Star Wars Galaxies since v. 1.0), I'm surprised it lasted that long. His machine is essentially a gaming console. He has an AMD XP 3000+ 400FSB (Which draw a shitload of power), a GeForce FX5900XT (Which also draw *A LOT,* more than my X800XL), 1GB PC3200 RAM, A2ZS, a buncha other stuff. He abused the hell outta that thing power wise.

He just got an Antec SmartPower 500, though. That thing gives me a massive e-rection.

Yeah, if you are into PowMax power supplies, which are like little Soviet nukes. Do you enjoy your 6800GT on the rocks?

Ask any of the power supplies guru's on repubtible computer sites, and none of them will recommend a thermaltake PSU. They are far from a quality psu. They may be better than a few brands, but definately not something I'd ever recommend to anyone else. Fortron/Sparke make FAR superior supplies for less money.

BTW I would of said the complete opposite of you, Thermaltake Heatsinks (i.e. Big Typhoon) are the only product I'd ever buy from them, the rest is crap.
