best program to rip DVD movies?

    sick of going through a whole series of programs. is there a good single proggy that does all the tricks? thanks for sharing

    NeoDivx seems be super good. I have used it a lot. The website is in French but once you download it, you can set it back to English.

    do you need a dvdrom drive? i dont have one and see all these advertisements that say its not needed

    Yes, you need a DVD-ROM. They are fairly cheap though.. You could pick one up new at around 45.00..

    this is a really powerful program. Question...why do my audio tracks come out so quiet. can Is there any way I can record it at 0dB FS?

    hmmm..... haven't had that problem. Try asking the guys on the doom9 forum.

    I've made some of the best encodes with Gknot though...

    Yeah, Decrypter comes with Gknot and works well.

    Smart Ripper does a good job too.
