Best program to monitor pc temp

    What is the best program to monitor the temp of my pc? It's a brand new dell 8400

    Im always leary of just googling things like that. I want to make sure that I find the correct program and not some spyware infested piece of crap. Thanks though :bigthumb:

    tried installing and it seems that my board isn't on the list under "dell". I wonder if I had to look else where.

    Try looking in the Dell manual for the specs on the motherboard. It should have something listed under there.

    Or you can just go into your BIOS and check the CPU temp, then you dont have to install and configure some program. Thats how i do it. And if its a Dell, why do you need to monitor the CPU heat? If its from a manufacturer it will be fine, unless you have tried to overclock it or something.

    Havn't tried to oc it....yet. I just like to know what my PC is doing.

    Im scared that you said "Yet". I wouldnt try to overclock a Dell.

    It's not in the immediate plans. I just got it a few weeks ago. The likely hood of me even trying to is slim to none.
