I might be insane, but I remember a long time back seeing it listed somewhere for under $100.
That would be the 1.8 perhaps?
yea, big difference between 1.4 and 1.8
That'd be the one.
I was going to ask what the big diff is (I'm still fairly new to the DSLR game) but found this:
Seems to cover it quite well.
I really like the 50 1.4 USM and 85 1.8 USM for cheap but great EF lenses.
they're only about $300 a piece new
The 1.8 is dirt cheap I got it on b&h for about $60 I see the 1.4 for $250-300
i love my 1.4 is an awsome lense for walk aorund i bring the 50 and the 28-135 and im happy, 70-200 is to dam big for a wwalk around the prime macro is ok but i prefer the 50
i scooped up a 1.4 for 290 like new with hood.
maybe 1.2L later on if this lens gets alot of use.
I think I paid $315 for mine, shipped. $20 rebate that hasn't shown up yet.
me? no way, f/1.0L would be baller
That 1.2L does look great and is very tempting!! need a new body first though
Pentax 50mm F/2 (A)
Cheapest I've seen f1.4 is $270 shipped with e-coupons... f1.8, buy used for $50 and be on your way.
I'll sell mine that's BARELY used, not a scratch on it for 250. I'm in the market for an ultra wide lens.. maybe even fisheye
