    I'm looking at getting a combo deal, PC + pads + polish/etc.

I've looked on Autogeek and Autopia. Looking to spend $200-250.

    Results on Autogeek:
    http://www.autogeek.net/dual-action-polishers.html

    Autopia:
    http://www.autopia.org/shopping/product/Porter-Cable-7424-Polisher-Special.html

Also, is Porter Cable the best route to go? Seems that is pretty much the standard in the detailing world, but I've seen Meguiar's makes one, Dewalt, etc.

Is there any site other then the two I've listed worth checking out for a deal?.. and should I be looking into other brands, or stick with Porter Cable? I drive an 07 Civic Si (black) for those wondering about the paint.

    Thanks, will look into it.

Can anyone else vouch for UDM over the PC?

when the UDM first came out everyone was really hyped about it. more power, better correction, and quieter. then the flex came out which is stronger than the UDM. both are good units.

The Flex is more money then I care to spend :hs:

How much of a difference is there between all of these (UDM, Flex, PC) when it comes down to it?

I hear the difference is almost negligible b/t the pc/udm, the udm has a slight edge in cutting ability. Since they are at the same price point, I would opt for the UDM. No experience w/ the Flex though

the UDM was the preferred at the price point as of a few months ago. honestly, unless scott or justin or anyone with both exp gives an opinion, i'd check for info on autopia.

The UDM is definitely more powerful than the PC. I'd go with that or Meguiars G110.

I have the G110. I've had the UDM and PC. G110 blows them out of the water. Best all around machine to me.
