btw, 500 rounds isn't bulk. 5,000 maybe 50,000 ok. This is WMD, not the main.

    In for this.

I want to buy 1,000 rounds of .223. Where can I find good prices? I don't want no cheap wolf shit though.

  5. Ammoman.com has decent prices, and they don't charge shipping. This has been discussed many times and the consensus is that ammoman is good on the vast majority of orders, but if there's a problem with the order the guy has an attitude about it. I've ordered from him a bunch of times and never had a problem.

Walmart is the cheapest if you want just shooting ammo, 100rounds = $27. And wolf blows

Are there any articles on how the grain will affect your shot? Looking through these websites at .40 I see some 170 grain, some 180 etc. for the same price. Thanks.

for the AR15 platform its the twist rate of the barrel that determines which grain is optimum.

    1:7 you're good for anything above 62gr
    1:12 less than 62gr

You think Soft Points and FMJBT would be allowed at a range that doesnt allow FMJ?

  22. Generally, heavier bullets (like the 180gr compared to the 170) move slower and penetrate deeper whereas lighter bullets move faster and have shallower penetration. That's the tradeoff you make, and the goal is to find the best compromise between the two. Realistically 10grains isn't going to make much of a difference in something like a .40 projectile though. The design of the projectile itself is more important in that case.

I've put probably 500 rounds of it through my rifle, and it's been flawless.
