I just took a ton of pictures in europe and i have some that "might" :)x: ) come out decent stitched together... so what's the best program out right now?

i searched through but didn't see a recent thread mentioning specfic ones to download or whatever.

for bonus points ... what's the easiest was to put a simple black boarder around a picture in photoshop ?

I use Photoshop to stich my photos together :dunno: File -> Automate -> Photomerge.

Simple black border.. Select all, have the selection tool selected, right click, stroke, and fill out the settings.

    i like autostitch :dunno:

this is 56 pictures of the grand canyon stitched and then edited (then fitted for a dual monitor setup with each at 1600x1200)

I'll assume the compression/quality of that image is saved for quick load times?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one :o I've never tried it

Edit:  I just tried it for the first time and it has the same result as Photoshop it just goes a hell of a lot faster and crops it for you.

it's under 2megs and is quite a bit smaller than it could be since i made it for a dual monitor background

so regardless of whether or not you're being sarcastic, it is compressed quite a bit from what it could be

i've done a good amount of photo stitching and that is probably a favorite of mine just because of how rich the colors look

I wasn't being sarcastic, it just looked like it was blown up a lot. I can see big pixel blotches where it didn't hold up too well.
