I'm no expert on the 9mm, but I've heard good things about the Speer Gold Dot. That in +P should give you good results.

i hear gold dot is good stuff, i have hydra-shoks loaded right now b/c someone gave them to me as a gift. I think ammoman has a special on gold dots.

Cor-bons here. I hear whatever the new black talons are called are pretty good (Ranger SXT? something like that)

Pretty much any premium JHP round will work plenty well. Gold Dot's, Hydroshoks, Corbon, Golden Saber, Ranger.... Just find what shoots reliably in your gun, and you can afford to practice with.

Myself, I have Hornady XTP's in my Makarov, and Speer GD's in the rest. Also part of my decision to go with GD's is the local PD carries them and I can get them reasonably.
