I think i'm allergic to latex. My skin gets really dry and itchy. Anyway I'm looking at non latex condoms on condomdepot but most of them say that they are not FDA tested for STDS/Pregency. Is there any truth to that? Are there any brands that are worth trying?

Polyurethane condoms. While they have a greater chance of breaking, since they dont stretch, they are FDA approved. Durex makes the only brand I have used.

I went to get you a link, and it said that Durex Avanti Condoms were discontinued April of 2008 :(

While i cannot personally vouch for any other brand, there are others avail that I have heard of such as Skyn & Trojan Supra condoms.

Anybody got anything to add to this? I didn't want to make a new thread but my girl I'm with is allergic to latex condoms. She is also on birth control and takes it responsibly. But I still want to be safe since it's early and reduce the chances of pregnancy even more.

I use these, but do not have a latex allergy. I get them at the local Meijer for $7/12. I like them.

I think Trojan also makes poly ones as well. The Micro Sheer ones. Shit felt lame though...and my SO didn't care for them. On top of that they are the same price as a 12 count but you only get 6.:ugh::ugh:

I read somewhere that some condoms don't protect against STD's. Does it just keep you from getting a girl pregnant then? I had always thought condoms would at least protect you (if used right) from getting HIV and stuff like that.
