Mine personally is the Usual Suspects one
The Departed was my favorite. Killing off Leonardo DiCaprio in the end was genius.
Fuck the haters, earlier M. Night twists were pretty good (6th sense, village)
The clues to the twists in the above movies were pretty obvious after the first viewing though.
i just watched state of play last night and the twist at the end was pretty good
6th sense and fight club were both pretty good
6th sense was totally ruined for me first time i saw it my friend had already seen it so i went with him, we got there a little bit late (maybe 5 minutes into the movie) and he whispers to me "that guy is dead" so i'm like oh,ok i guess that happened at the beginning and i missed it, so when the twist came out and everybody was shocked and gasping i turn to him and he goes "lol" bastard
that shit is fucked up man. i would have punched him in the ballsack for that shit. luckily it wasn't ruined for me the first time i saw it so it was a pretty good twist i thought. haven't seen much else that had a real shocking twist. i didn't feel that memento or fight club really had much of a shocking twist to it, seriously... empire strikes back had more of a twist.
i don't even remember what the twist in Memento was, what was it? And fight club was meh, i had read the book so it didn't surprise me and you kinda already knew it in the book when reading so it wasn't that big of a surprise when you got to that part.
Best twist ever.
Seriously, if you saw it on opening night would you have guessed it? It doesn't seem like a twist because these days since that quote is practically in the pamphlet of things you need to know to make it through life. The stove is hot, bacon is awesome, and Darth Vader is Luke Skywalkers father.
really? seven? you thought it had a twist?
I liked that the detective ended up being wraith, I didn't see it coming. Mostly just trying to think of something different, fight club would be typical answer.
The Game had a twist i definitely didn't see coming...it was just a really fucking stupid twist that made the movie pathetic. DAMN YOU MICHAEL DOUGLAS!
Great list, wish I had thought of those.
the mist was fucking terrible. there wasn't a twist at the end, there was an explanation. and a bad one at that. identity was an OK 'twist'. the game was fucking good though.
I saw that movie in the theaters twice... second time I went with some chick that wanted to see it. Maybe 30-45 minutes in she leans over and is like, "he's dead, isn't he?" Kinda shocked me that she figured it out. I didn't have a clue first time I saw it.
I wouldn't say they're the best but The Others and The Prestige had a pretty good twist.
you could see the end of the Others from miles away if you were actually paying any attention to it. not a bad movie. not a great one and not much of a twist.
