Best motherboard/processor for under $300

    Abit NF7-s Rev 2.0 + unlocked Barton 2500

    Or 2.4C + ??? (not an intel guy)

    uhh... just go to newegg.com for everything

    And what do you mean by "xp capable"? Windows XP? Yes, just about anything made within the past decade (and sometimes alot more) is winxp compatible.

    2500's from newegg are locked now, so not a great choice if your planning on ocing

    that's why I said unlocked :hs:

    but yes you are right.. just get a 2600 instead

    Edit: the current batch of 1800s at newegg are also locked :mad: They just started shipping out the locked ones right when I ordered :mad:
