The Sopranos is like one big, long movie. Also I would mention The Untouchables. I don't know if Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels & Snatch would qualify as mob movies or not.

    But the greatest? Johnny Dangerously!!!

"My Mother hung me on a hook once. Once."

Joe Piscopo taught us all how to laugh.

Godfather pt 2 was also excellent in my opinion.

Croupier was not bad with young Clive Owen.

Does "Boondock Saints" qualify? They were fighting the Russian Mafia after all.....

    "Get Shorty" ?

What is the distinction - a movie entirely about the mafia(i.e. Goodfellas), or one that just involves it (Get Shorty)?

I guess it all depends on what you think makes a movie a "mob movie". I can't argue with Goodfellas or any of the others on your list for the gritty hardcore movie.

One that I enjoy - "Last Man Standing" Two mobs fighting over a town, Bruce Willis working both sides, and in the end, everyone gets shot but him.

What about "Mobsters" - story of Meyer Lansky?

    "Pulp Fiction"?

    1) Goodfellas
    2) Casino
    3) Donnie Brasco (A great example of mob soldiers instead of kingpins.

And for some reason, the Godfather movies never clicked with me. I found the book better.

The Untouchables would be my favorite. If you're gonna include stuff like boondock saints where they just mention the mafia then the list is gonna be really long. Harlem nights would definetly be on the top of that list for me, one of the funniest movies i've ever seen.

The brother I saw was a mob movie, staring the guy from MXC (most extreme elimination challenge) - it was pretty good....probably the 2000 from japan.

I was also probably under the influence when I saw it.

And for comedies, Michelle P's "Married to the Mob"!
    Pretty humerous.
    "It fell off a truck."

BTW, maybe I am just a different generation, but for me Goodfella's beats the Godfathers.
