any but the hook ones, just seems like it'd take grip completely out of the lift rather than somewhat :mamoru:

i've got a pair of cheap leather straps that I've had since high school and they get the job done. but I try to keep my use of straps to a minimum.

it would be beneficial to you to start doing some grip work.

    chaulk ftw.

seriously, i always have used straps for my 335lb+ deads and after trying chaulk, i had no problem doing 335lb for reps. id recommend trying chaulk before straps.

265? Don't get straps yet bro. Work on your grip. Do some farmer's walks and grip work.

farmers walk: what i do for this is get 2 heavy dumbbells and walk around and aim for a certain amount of distance (say 20 meters?).

He shouldn't even need a mixed grip yet at a 265 max.

get the straps and all b/c there is no sense holding back the rest of your body, but you need to be doing som serious grip work in the mean time b/c that is just plain awful.
