    If you get a 720p plasma you could probably get a few more inches out of it for under 800, you only really need 1080p for over 50" I think.

    my Sharp Aquos 40" 1080p 120hz was ~$540. Makes a great second display for my MacBook.

    well I didn't buy it as a primary computer display. but it's nice to surf the net from my bed. :bigthumb:

    i wouldn't do 1080p unless you're going 42" and higher...
    you wouldn't notice the resolution difference on anything smaller unless you're watching like 2 feet away...
