I've got heat issues on my server, 10k rpm SATA drive has problems because of it. What's the best HD cooler? I plan on getting a standard 5.25 slot fan, but I want to cool the HDD specifically.
Anyone know if these are any good:

I don't know much about HD coolers, I've never had to use them. Make sure that the HD is getting air flow over it and that your case has suffecient airflow.

Meh, as good as any I guess. I'm suprised the drive is having issues with heat. With the heatpipe design, you'll need to be sure you have good airflow across the pipes or you'll just turn it into a hotplate.

    It's EU49.95 :eek3:

Bit expensive, and shipping would be outrageous I'm sure.

I'd look at the cooler that 5Gen posted. That fanbay doesn't look like it actually pulls air across the drive so much as exchanges it within the case. If you don't draw air over those heatpipes on that cooler, they won't work.

of all the systems I've built -- including servers, I have NEVER need a HDD cooler. Look towards solving the CAUSE rather than putting on a band-aid.

In my case, I had no CPU issues at all and it was an Antec server case. The HD's were ALWAYS R/Wing during the day. You could actually see the cooler's temperature drop at the end of the day.
