Me and my mates are going to be looking to buy a HD tv when we move in our house on the first or so. I got a friend that works at Best Buy, and he can get us up to about 50% off!

So yeah, what do you guys think a nice TV from Best Buy would be? Keep in mind that I want HD - 1080p preferred, but 720p would be suffifienct, and at least 40 inches.

I was kind of looking at this one - but I'm open to any type of suggestion - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....&ref=10&loc=01

    Thanks in advance.

Yes you can, and you did. That tv sucks balls in comparison to plasma. Shadow detail is non-existant in that panel. If you have to go with an lcd the 71 or 81 samsung shits all over the xbr series panels. Also, the 120hz motion that they used to boost the response time of the panels makes movement unnatural and it's still slower than plasma.

Bottom line..if you want the best possible picture go with the Pioneer. If you need to have 1080p get the 5010...otherwise the 5080 is the way to go.
