Who? What song? I'm looking for some absolutely blistering solos here, people. Give me the best you got.

Not sure if these are blistering, but Boston's "A Man I'll Never Be" and "Hitch a Ride" guitar solos are pretty good. Then again, of course I'd think they're good ;) .

Walk's solo is tight, try Cemetary Gates by Pantera, pretty much any song by them has a bad ass solo. Also Children of Bodom, try Sixpounder, Everytime I Die, Angels Don't Kill by them. Black Label Society have bad ass solos too.

Yeah, I lika all of those... I'm looking for something extra special though...
I have some stuff by dream theater that simply rocks my world, but I don't know much about them.
I'm talking innovative, too, not just shredding. Like Hedrix and the national anthem... I want guitars making noises that will blow my mind.

RATM and Audioslaves guitarists solos are very innovative.

Not fast by any means, but I love playing it, one of my favorite solos.

    Check out Joe Satriani.

I'm not sure what qualifies as a 'guitair solo' song though, because they all have other instruments at some point.

I've always liked Slash's solo in November Rain by Guns N Roses.

Steve Vai and Satriani are pretty good but I have everything by them I can find. Slash rocks my world as well. i love when an artist invents a new style that is easily recognizable. Carlos santana, too.
Randy Rhoads and Tony Iommi- great as well.
Dream Theater has some pretty innovative stuff too.

I think back in the day Guitar World readers said that
    Stairway to Heaven solo #1
    Eruption #2
