Coming the 15th of Feb, AVG is charging for their software. So whats a good free anti-virus app that out today?

I've heard good things about Avast, but personally I don't use antivirus protection (just an occasional spyware scan and safe browsing habbits)

    Yep.

But not much harder. I mean, my girlfriend's mom found it, so how hard can it be?

Yeah, I didn't really read anything, just got the stupid pop up that AVG does saying it's not going to be free (or w/e it says).

The message tells you that your current version of AVG Free (7.1) will not longer be supported and that you can purchase the commercial version. Then at the bottom, in about 12 point type, it says that AVG Free 7.5 is available. Reading carefully works wonders.
