I have the robot right now. At the time I got him I did a lot of thefts to get the alignment to neutral to get him. He draws the fire of the enemies. Even Behemoths will beat him down where he can't even get a shot in but he never dies. Tough ol bastard. Because the Behemoths is so focused on beating him down, it gives me the chance to hand to hand them and/or kill at my leisure. Same with 'claws and the mutant bears though they don't beat him down like the behemoths.

Dogmeat is too vulnerable in the latter missions.

Other than them, I only had Charon.

Like I said, I have the robot now but I can get Charon since I bought his contract. The robot gets a lot of the combat exp...

fawkes was basically invincible when i was level 25+ playing broken steel. in fact, i couldnt even level anymore because he'd kill everyone on the screen before i could even VATS them. i actually just had him switch to that shitty super sledge thing so he just became a meat shield/mule.

I liked Fawkes for his war cries and ability to carry a ton of gear. My play style better suited Charon though since he isn't visible for miles and actually tries to be stealthy.
Packing enormous amounts of crap is pointless. I can understand needing parts weapons/armor in the beginning. My horde at vault 112 has 1700lbs of 80%+ power armor alone. There is a few thousand pounds of weapons, food, medical supplies etc that I will never use. I have over 40 mini nukes. :mamoru:
