Im looking for the best bang for your buck compact pistol.

Id like the gun to be under or around 400$ and a 40 S&W.

Iv been looking at CZ 75 compact 40S&W...anyone have any experience with this gun?

are their any other guns cheaper or around my prive range that are good also?

    thanks!

I am not familiar with the CZ's, but I have shot the 9mm version of it. I can tell you that it is VERY accurate. I've shot hundreds of rounds through the range gun without any malfunctions of any sort and it feels great to shoot also. Although I do not personally own the gun and cannot tell you anything past "it shoots nicely", I hope my experience has helped

I am so sick of hearing this... rust is not a big problem... all you have to do it take care of your gun.

The XD would be a great choice. You can get one for right around $400 and it's a great gun.

the CZ would be a great choice. For price to reliability, theyre tough to beat.

New CZ would still come in cheaper unless the Glock is beat.
    I wouldn't buy a Glock in .40 anyway.

    I own a CZ-75B in 9mm. Flawless reliability.
Only issue I had was that the base of the magwell wasn't cut out properly. I had to make a few quick passes with a dremel to open it up. Very isolated issue as I've never heard of anyone having this same issue. A quick spray with some primer to cover the bare metal and its perfect.
Only failures to fire have been ammo related.
    No failures to eject.

    Stupidly simple to maintain.
Internal slide rails keep the slide riding low in the frame and give a more compact feel to things. Only issue that some have is the reach to the trigger in DA mode. Not a problem for me and my hands are about average size.

    Shoot one before you buy.

While not very compact, CDNN still has some FN Hi Powers in .40 for $399 iirc.

    Too many reports of KB's.
That and the shape of the grip on a Glock feels like a fence post. Doesn't fit my hand at all.
