Best, cheapest, prebuilt gaming rigs?

    Who makes the best, most inexpensive gaming rigs on the net? I need a new machine ever since my mobo burned up. Links? Thanks:wavey:

    what do you mean like barbones or windows preinstalled
    and just to say you cant just get the best most expensive give a range your willing to pay cuz your going to end up sacrificing somewhere weither it be in performance or price

    *cough* gaming? i've heard a lot about alienware but then again i'm still on a dell....

    alienware if you want to pay eleventy billion dollars, yes. (though they're reputed to be good. but who would call it a POS after plunking down that kind of change???)

    They shipped my buddy a system with faulty memory :rofl:.

    Oh, and for the $3000 he paid, I could have built him an SLi rig.

    He was totally jacked - nothing but a stock box with an exhorbant price tag and a cumbersome case.

    However, the best pre-built gaming systems I've seen to date are from CyberPower.

    CyberPower rules, but I still build my own. CyberPower makes affordable, ultra-high quality machines with stellar support.

    Okay so I don't know anything about technology, Cyberpower is good though thats what Im running on right now....can someone build me a good cheap rig that can easily play BF2?

    no, my motherboard lit on fire...

    edit: ....which probably makes you wonder why i said im on a cyber power system now. IM not. Im using the vid card and sound card in my GF's Emachine. It's pretty ghey but it runs DOD source and CS source just fine so im content. Can I get a good dell for <1000 that can run bF2?

    ofcourse you can man, dell dimension 8400 can run it great if you got a good connection, that's what i got and i can play MOH: PA/CoD/CS: Source etc....

    Well can you help me build one at CPP maybe? I don't know if a 256 6600 is as good as a 6600GT...etc etc....and like...dual cores, i dont know what that shit is...and AMD vs Intel, I have no idea.

    You can always put it together yourself, if you want. Its not that hard. Everything plugs up where it fits. Or... pay cyberwhater.

    I wouldn't know what to buy. I've never built a computer, nor do i know anything about the latest technology.

    if i remember the good ol' days of learning howt o build computers, i believe that the AMD athlon is better than the P4?....but i could be wrong...
