I have a small budget of $300, and I am looking to get this camera
    http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ca...il.php?cam=667

The DSC-P200, in terms of reviews, they have been pretty good for the price range. What other camera do you think I should consider for 300? I know it's not alot, as it's just for point and shoot purposes. My main focus is battery life (rechargable), and megapixels, and reload time in between shots.

I really hope you can help me out, I appreciate it!

If you can find a working Dell coupon, the Canon S2 IS was going for $280-300.

sony's aren't that great, and they're memory is overpriced as are all accessories.

    Agreed on both counts.

I'd generally choose Canon point and shoots before anything else but some of the Olympus cameras are great. I am not a fan of some of their Stylus cameras, they're slick and small but at least used to be obtuse to use and had worse image quality than their competition.

After that some of the Kodak cams are pretty good and in particular supposed to be easy to use.

I'd rather walk around with a 110 camera than use ANY kodak camera. they're all pieces of shit.

I disagree. I wouldn't buy one personally but some are pretty decent and very simple.

i considered that before i bought my Canon A620....I did a lot of research and that sony and the canon were the last two to choose between. I suggest you do some more research here... www.dpreview.com they have really good reviews of both cameras. The canon was much more capable when it came down to it. Granted the sony is a little smaller, but i am happy with my choice in the canon.
