Best Calcium Pill for Men?

    Im 19 and just started taking Centrum vitamins because i want to be healthier and my grandma has bone loss in her mouth and i dont want that to happen to me so now I'm looking for a calcium supplement since i dont drink milk or eat cheese because of my diet. I eat Subway alot.

    She likely has bone loss because she no longer has her own teeth. This is common amongst those with false teeth.

    nevermind im getting Os-Cal its the number 1 doctor recommened like Centrum.

    nope she still has her own teeth, she is 59 years old and her dentist just told her she might have to get her teeth taken out because her bones are too weak.

    Weird. That can be caused by lots of different dental problems. Anyway, supplement away. I like to walk into GNC and take about a dozen of their chewable calcium supplements. Good times.

    Osteoporosis effects women much much more than it effects men. Testosterone is a wonder chemical that makes us stronger, faster, better (physically). I doubt you'll have this problem when you're older as testosterone helps men (directly or indirectly) maintain bone density.

    I saw something a little about that today. Apparently, about 50% of the women who have been pregnant with a boy have some sort of chimerism which means that they have some sort of male DNA floating in their blood (vs 14% for those normally) which protects them against breast cancer. :bowdown:

    my grandmother had 5 kids (3 boys) and she got breast cancer....I guess she is unlucky...:dunno:

    As with any preventive medicine or protection factor, it only lowers the risks. Nothing can bring the risk to 0.
