Best browser?

Some of the posts I've read in previous threads usually cast Safari in a negative light, yet I've never had a problem with it and in fact I haven't found a browser with quite its functionality.

I've tried Omniweb which is awesome aside from the fact that "target=_blank" links open in a new window instead of a new tab (maybe there is a way to do this, I just haven't figured it out; but this is one area I think Safari has Omniweb beat) and that it isn't free. I've also tried out Camino and Firefox. I run Firefox exclusively when I use PCs but on the Mac it seemed sluggish (but then again it was being run on a 1Ghz 256MB iMac). Camino seemed to run a bit better than Firefox but to me wasn't anything too impressive.

So, what browser do you guys/gals consider to be #1 and why?

P.S. My apologies if this issue has been previously discussed (more than likely ad nauseum) but I haven't found a semi-recent related thread in my searches.

FF for me, on any OS. The cross-platform design and expandability/customization does it for me. I like Safari, it seems like a nice polished app. But it's just too proprietary and limited for my tastes.

    My dual500 brotha. :bigthumb:

Yeah...I'm a safari guy too. Tabs seem to "work" better for me with Safari. That's a very vague answer, I know, but let's just let it go. :wiggle:

if only they'd fix the wackiness that happens when you're on a page with a bunch of animated gifs.

I have the same problem with the website we use at work. I always have to use IE for Mac (POS!!!) to get info entered into the forms correctly. The site was written entirely in asp, so I suppose that could be why.

    Currently -- Firefox: 5, Safari: 4 (I won't include myself)

    No Omniweb users???
