that submissions 101 guy is known to be sucky though.. and he seems a bit sleazy too. he wears a black belt in his videos when he isnt one

    [y]g92JEWFTSs4[/y]

his excuse is he has a traditional ju jitsu black belt.. but doing a bjj technique wearing a black belt is very misleading

I haven't had a lot of time lately. I'll let you try all that shit out! I'll even help you learn it (ie, I'll choke your ass) :big grin:

Just need some free time and some space.

I've been pretty busy the last week. As well as being a little sick.
We need some mats or something, if we bjj on my carpet we'll just get rug burn.

I'd love to get those interlocking puzzle pieces but they are a lot more expensive than I thought they would be.

i have this whole instructional. he's about as bad as you can get when it comes to giving oral instructions but i liked the tape because he just shows a crapload of practical techniques really fast. this particular tape really changed my jiu jitsu when i was a new blue belt

Seriously if you want self defense bjj isnt the greatest thing 4 teh s7r337. Do proper karate, boxing, kickboxing or judo/wrestling.

I've got his butterfly guard instructional DVD. I don't really care for it. He's so dry and odd that it's distracting to me.

Wow thanks for the find chechen, i have just started to use high guard (although i don't like rubber guard) i find the highguard equally as offensive. My closed guard was lacking that offensive capability as i usually played de la riva guard as much as i can.

I can't really do shit from the closed guard either. You've got to open it up to really be offensive IMO.
