I started reading these dark Batman novels and I can't get enough
The Dark Knight Returns
What's that about? Other than him returning
i started buying a few of them just before and after i saw the new movie.
year one is great, along with the two HUSH books and the long halloween
Couldn't agree more.
I've barely touched it, but it's a long one, and most of the work is done by Frank Miller.
whatever you do don't get dk2 (dark knight strikes again)
it SUCKS (art and story)
looks like something a 7th grader drew
dark night returns is an elseworld tale about batman in the future, when all the superheros are retired, and he decides to make a comeback even though he's way over the hill.
do yourself a favor and pick up 'the watchmen' by alan moore while you're at it
is the watchmen about batman
No it's not but it's still very good. Been a while since I read it but it's about a couple of the members of now defunct super group trying to solve the murder of one of their old team mates.
The Killing Joke is short but also good. It's the one that has how Barbra Gordon got put into the wheelchair. Was also written by Alan Moore.
Also Nightfall is in trade, that's where Bane broke Batmans back.
are there any good trades that have mr. freeze in it?
I picked up Nightfall and the Dark Knight Returns. It seems there's not a lot of Batman novels...
i think there are a ton, look at the last page of DNR, it should be a big list of them
