I'm looking to purchase an A/V receiver for under $300, and theres so much difference in the different brands and types I've looked at, so I've come to you guys for advice. What is the best I can do for $300 or less?

UPDATE: I also asked on AVSforums and so far 2 people have said the Panasonic SA-XR57 is the best you can get in its price range.

Basically I want to hook up my TV, CD player, PS2, DVD player, VCR, and external speakers all into one box and be able to control everything with one remote.

Up your price range to $400 and get the Onkyo SR605.

    End of thread.
