Best 5.1 speaker set for under $600?

    I'm looking for a new set of 5.1 speakers, has to be under or close to $600. Whats good? I want good bass.

    If you already have an amp and just want speakers I would take a look at these:

    I've heard several of Cambridge's small speaker sets and they really outshine every other mini speaker set I've heard. If your budget was up in the 1000 range you would probably be getting to the point where there are a billion and a half opinions as to what the best speaker is for the money.

    Since you want a lot of bass, its going to be hard to get any decent performance out of a set of 6 speakers in that price range. So I would reccomend that you spend half the money on a pair of nice stereo speakers, and the other half on a a subwoofer.

    Then upgrade to a center and surround speakers later.

    crap, I should have specified that they will be used for HOME AUDIO not computer.

    I'm looking at the Acoustic Research HC2, or the Polk Audio RM6600 satellites with the PSW350 sub. Anyone have any experience with these?
