I'm just curious. I don't care about having to send them back to Springfield to get them fixed because if my Glock breaks I'll have to do the same thing. I'm not a gunsmith so I won't be fixing crap myself and I'm not going to pay one to do it if I can get it done for free. XDs look and feel better to me. Convince me to buy a Glock instead of an XD.

:dunno: Some people are so adamant that XDs are worthless pieces of shit. I just want to know what, besides being comparable to their precious glocks for less money, is wrong with XDs?

    The man speaks the truth.

Seriously though, there's nothing wrong with them besides they seem to have an issue with exactly how phosphating is supposed to work. Just get the stainless steel slide if you are worried about it.

Because "Springfield Armory" took advantage of a name of historical significance that has been around since the origins of our country and decided to exploit it for economic gain instead of producting a product capable of building a name for itself. :dunno:

In my opinion they are equals. Try them both and pick what you like.

Get the new .45acp model and you will get it with Tennifer coating just like the Glocks. Then you don't have anything to worry about.

    Or...

Buy a 9mm or .40 and just wipe it clean once in awhile and you won't have anything to worry about either.

The only difference between Glocks and XDs are ergonomics. Plain and simple.

nope, and it probably won't have because the frames are slightly different. You can get a 9mm or .357 barrel for a .40 but that's all.

    LMFAO!

Thats probably the lamest arguement I've ever heard. Where is Gaston Glock from again?

I'd rather hear Rust bullshit before that.

In closing. Shoot both, you might like the one way shoots more than the other, even if you dont like how it sits in your hand. Shooting is believing.

My main gripe with XD's is the price, before Springfield was the importer they were $200 less, suddenly Springfield is stamped into the slide and there worth $200 more :hsugh: Nothing against the gun itself really, I handled one and didn't like how it felt, I may of still bought one if they were priced as they were before springfield imported them :dunno:
