i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that it's more expensive than the other two manufacturers you mentioned.

Springfield loaded in 9mm is hard to find if not impossible to get around here. Bullet Trap can order one but no ETA can be guaranteed. Buds doesn't list it anymore and gunbroker.com doesn't have one either.

It's my first choice if I can find one. If not I'm thinking STI.

Kimber has one but waaaaay to proud of their shit.

I really don't want to drop a ton of cash on one. Maybe I'll just go with the Taurus. Springfield is in the $800 range, STI is coming in at just around $1000. Too rich for my cheap blood.

Most "reasonably" priced 9mm 1911s need some tweaking and some lovin on from a good smith. If you want closer to a 1911 feel without having to break the bank I recommend a Hi-Power.

Cz's were a easy transition for me (I grew up on 1911's/BHP's), and the SA trigger can be better than many/most 1911's. Cheap too, fwiw.

Good luck finding a Springer Loaded 9mm that someone is willing to sell. Springfield has discontinued production (supposeably to focus on making .45's because of such high demand), making them even harder to find. There's tool marks all inside the slide, not as tight as my Dan Wesson, but she runs when you find the rite ammo and ETM magazines. She likes rounds out to 1.145 and PF in the 145 range. Little bendy bendy on the hammer spring and I kick some ESP ass.

I would like to make intercourse babies with your 1911. :naughty:

After doing some digging last night a 9mm 1911 just isn't in the cards for me strictly due to price. I'll probably look into the CZs with some trigger work. I really like the all steel construction of guns even though I love shooting my Glock.

Yea, I know, I can pick up an STI chambered in .45 for about the same price as a CZ but I with as tight/expensive as ammo is these days I think it's benneficial for me to stick with all the same caliber.
