    Opinions? Comments? Snide remarks?

I would post a pic but the uploads server is being a biotch and not responding.

Looking at one for concealed carry, my only concern is the .380 cartridge's power.

    Discuss.

.380 is a little small for carry

Spend a little more and get a better gun if you are going to carry it.

I also found out that the Makarov has chromed barrel, Bersa does not.

Is that really a huge factor? With the Bersa you get the warranty.

Chrome in a pistol barrel shouldn't matter one bit.

Have you seen the movie Tommy Boy?

If you don't have a lot of money to spend, get the Makarov. If you can spend more on the one gun you plan to have with you if you ever need to shoot someone, spend a few dollars more and get a better carry gun. Glock and Sig make the most easy to operate and reliable carry guns (from my personal and professional experience). .380 is ok but I'd suggest you get something chambered in 9mm, .357sig, .40 or .45. I would recommend that you start with a 9mm pistol to make your defense shooting practice more affordable. Check out the Glock 19 or 26 or the Sig 239.

It seems like you have your mind set on one of these two so if that's the case get the Mak.
