My dad has a 99' Mercedes ML320 (SUV) and wants to install a CD changer. In the back compartment, there's already a stock CD changer wire (ready to be plugged in). My question is...

Will most after market CD changers fit with this wire?
What's the best way to go in purchasing a CD changer for this car, recommendations?

I do not want to get it done at a audio shop...
i was thinking about getting one at an online shops like: mmxpress.com or thezeb.com as soon as i know which one to get. THANKS!

Usually for an OEM system, you must purchase an OEM cd changer.

some companies make adaptors to work with the OEM systems. US Spec actually makes a changer that may plug right up, that already has the OEM protocol installed in it. google search US Spec application guide something close to that
