Second guy is too far upright. Ok for upper back, but you lose alot of the stimulus to the largest part of your lats. I go somewhat between the two videos.

I do them similar to the first guy, but not as bent over (note: I'm going for hypertrophy).

I also think the argument of "I'll do what the bigger guy is doing" is pretty stupid.

didn't mean to offend the guy. i'm sure evo was the same. it's just hilarious when 1 or 2 of the bigger guys on here pick someone to make fun of, that instantly opens the door for him to take insults from just about anybody.

That second guy needs to use his legs more and stand up a little bit straighter.

    Oh wait, that's a deadlift.

    strong reply dude lol

but yeah, it really depends. in a lot of pro videos ive seen a lot of the big boys don't have good form on just about anything. in jeremy hoornstras video he does 545 bent rows with a lot of swing, jerk, etc..

but see the thing is, is hoornstra is strong. he can bent jerk row 500+, but he can also use his lats and bench press 675 raw for a single. he can deadlift 635+ etc..

the problem is when people say they use a lot of weight on certain exercises (common ones are all raises, skulls/extentions, rows, etc..) but their actual expression of that musculature strength is not found. such as doing bent rows with 405 but cannot deadlift 550+. or doing skulls with 185 but cannot bench press over 315. or doing side raises with 60's (what some IFBB pro's use) but cannot military press 200+ for reps.. etc.

That dude is expressing his muscles from his toes to his damn neck. When I do them, I'm about 45 degrees and motionless except for my arms.

I thought that was the point of them :o I could jump around and increase my max from 165-185 or so to 225 if I put a little english into it.

rows are a power movement from what I've been told so being motionless would be pointless. OR i could be wrong.

true, but if you take away the torso movement of the guy in the second vid, his arms pull the bar away from its starting point 4-5" at most

I do t-bar row with form similiar to the guy in the 2nd vid, I don't use as much body english but my back doesn't stay motionless. I like the way it hits my back. :dunno:
