Thats a good first accomplishment/goal right? I've been using DBs for bench since I started lifting in August. Had a go with the BB.

    165 x 5 x 4
    185 x 2 x 1 :hsd:

I remember high school weight lifting as a freshmen or so. All I wanted out of life was to be able to do the "big" plates. ie 135. I did my body weight which was like 110 or some shit. I think I was 5'1". lol

Same here. I was in pretty good shape already compared to other kids my age and everyone expected me to do it. I expected me to do it and rather easily. Didn't happen. I lowered it in control fine but wouldn't budge back up. I was already working out but didn't have a bench and so only used the Universal at school for bench. I was 14 and about 125-130lbs at around 5'7". It was at 16 that I finally bought a bench.

oh god i remember rolling 135 off my body with everyone staring

it happened 2 separate times, i think the second time i tried to play it off and like, attempt to BOR the bar off the end of the bench after i rolled it over my body as though i meant to roll it off for the exercise transition, but back then I couldn't BOR 135 so I just looked like even more of a toolshed

 but I do remember when I was 210 and really fat that people thought I would be able to put up big numbers. I tried 170 and couldnt even get it off, I thought I was pretty strong for being able to do 150 though

LOL same here, i started off doing 85 on the bench for 4, i will never forget the day i decided i was going to be huge one day. I was benching and i think i was up to like 115 for a 5-6 and this jacked girl works in and warms up with like 30 reps with it. Then she proceeds to bang 185 out for 10 reps. I literally sneaked out the back and didnt come back for like 3 weeks, i was crushed. But every since that day i was gonna show that bitch

this was my first time ever doing bench with a barbell. main reason i have been benching with DBs for months was so I didn't staple myself

185 is a good first milestone. new goal is 200!
