    Yeah yeah I know :gives:

But one of my milestone goals years ago when I started working out was to bench with "2 big plates" on both sides. I'm currently @ 200 for my normal set but I decided to try 225 for the hell of it last night. Got 1 rep in and now I'm super psyched... very happy :) :) Hopefully by the end of the year I'd like to do that weight for a normal set.

    I'm 5'10", 160lbs for those that care.

how long did it take you to hit that? My next goal is a big plate on each side for bench.

it really is...I was stuck at 215 forever and just couldn't bench 225 (without a shirt) due to the huge mental block...

    congrats!

Thanks for the encouragement guys :bigthumb:

oh geez i'm not sure. around 3-4 years? started benching at a very humbling 95lbs. i'd do bench for a couple months and plateau... switch to a different chest, plateau on that... come back to bench. rinse and repeat several times. now at 200+. i remember when i hit 1 plate on both sides... that was a great feeling too. same with when i benched bw :) keep working at it!

For 160lb that's a great weight, how old are you may I ask. I know now that I'm older I can do more than when I was in my early 20's. Which I find funny.

Double plates was always one of my goals, now triple is :big grin:
