do you actually wrap your hand & fingers completely around the bar or do you partially have your fingers on it with the bar mainly resting in the dip of your palms?

i just started tryin out the 'resting in the dips in my palms' style & im starting to like it. im able to focus more on the press & have less stress on my forearms from gripping the weight.

I have always found that gripping the bar hard and trying to "rip it apart" has helped me lift more weight. It seems to allow me to get my tri's maximally involved in the lift.

Date Tate and the WS crew reccomend it I believe.

yeah, now that you mention it... i remember reading something along those lines as well. something about gripping it super tight as if your were trying to destroy it.

only reason i tried this is because some homie i lift with does it this way (180lbs putting up 335)

You are just laying under the bar to make sure the spotter doesnt cheat when he does his upright rows, right?

i grip hard....but having the weight rest on your forearms rather than stressing the wrist is most important....you should be able to take your fingertips off the bar and have it rest the same...
