I've had my bellybutton pierced for about 2 months now, with a curved barbell in it. It was doing really well and not crusting over until last week. It just seems to be really dry and it hurts really bad. I wash 2x a day w/ Dial, and wear low riding pants to keep it from rubbing. Is there any kind of cream that I can put on it to get rid of the dryskin? Or would Neosporin for a day or 2 be ok?

ditch the dial antibacterial, thats whats most likely drying out your skin and causing irritation, its way to harsh

in the shower just let hot water beat down on it for like 3-5 minutes or so

dial complete antibacterial is a liquid soap (read: watery) with a foaming head. this is VERY gentle and is touted to clean just as well. it costs a tad more than regular soft soap, but it's well worth it.

don't wash it with antibacterial 2 times a day. Do it like twice a week.

  8. go get a gel cleanser from a good body piercing place/shop

they work the best for new piercings

sparky, have you ever used dial complete? it's no where near as harsh as bar soap or soft soap. i wouldn't use dial bar soap on anythign but my hands.

complete was recommended to me by nickos, btw.
