I have had my belly pierced for about a year now and it still hasn't healed and gets infected quite a bit... Is there anything I can put on it besides leaving it alone and using a Sea Salt solution? Like any creams or anything like that that will heal it faster?

Any advice would be great thanks :)

oy. i had mine for a while, close to a year, and it never healed. i ended up taking it out due to a fight with my parents about it, so i'm not sure what it would have done if i'd kept it, but it was a problem the entire time :wtc:

I think I read somewhere once that belly button piercings only have something like a 30% total healing success rate :dunno:

I think that's what I'm eventually gonna do because I'll probably only have it 5 more years before I have a kid, so its not worth the trouble it causes to have it that much longer. It kinda sucks because I love having it :wtc:

    that low of a percentage?

im in the 30% then :) mine never got infected and healed pretty quickly, its almost 3 years old now...

my sister however, hers took over a year to heal. it was always pussy and red and tender, she tried salt baths, someone told her to do peroxide baths too, and im pretty sure she got put on antibiotics too. its pretty much okay now, think it flares up a tiny bit icky every now and then though...
