being creative with my mac

    hi there, i recently treated myself to a imac and was hoping to something ive never done before on any computer, such as try out programming, but i have no idea how to!
    i know on windows there was like visual basic, so i there something like that on OsX? nothing too difficult as i have never programmed before, just want to have aq quick dabble in it

    if you want simple programming just like visual basic, look into getting RealBasic. it's basically the same thing, but for macs

    You can also try Applescript, it's like macros on crack.

    I wrote an applescript that gets the current track from itunes and puts that up as my status message in ichat. That was a fun project.

    See if you can come up with an idea for a new widget, I've heard they're easy to write.
