Cars have just been officially unveiled so I can display the shoot now.

It's a bit hard to look at cause it's a (dodgey) video slide show I made to show friends and family on youtube.

But here are the behind-the-scenes stuff from the shoot.

    au.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ927f0h0S0

Click HD - then let it load - then full screen it!

The images are being used in international press releases at the moment.

And I can't link you any easier, sorry - got no sub :wtc:

Yeah the rig was unbeleivable - but even better was having a fucking rig technician there to do it all for you!

Nothing beats showing up at the shoot, telling him exactly where you want the camera to be and sitting down drinking coffee while he sets it up!

...then when it's ready, you get up and the assistant hands over the camera (setup the way you asked) and you plonk it on the rig and fire away a few snaps.

...then you sit back down and drink more coffee as the assistant takes the memory card and backs them up on the digital workstation. Checking focus and exposure as well.

    They spoiled me!

I can't view the thread in the main forum - i'm a povo without a sub :p but hopefully they like the pics even if they don't know who shot it.

It's not all glitz and glamour, there are some serious disadvantages out of doing a shoot like this. Things that go against you which you wouldn't normally have on a smaller shoot.

You aren't missing much on the main forum. Too much BS without much content.

    lol - accessphoto

What about honda-tech before that? :)

And the answer is no, I didn't take all the press shots. I didn't shoot:

    - the white car
    - the interior shots
    - some of the action (i.e NON-rig) shots of the XKR

The reason being is that the car was heavily prototyped at the time of shooting. Much of the car still wasn't ready and it had to be shot again several times to get a complete press release.

Thanks for the feedback guys! And yes the rig is amazing - but more amazing is the rigger, poor fellow was the hardest working bloke on the set.
