With all the bulking threads going on here lately, I thought I'd add my own. The first photo is from 1973 when I just got into working out. I really didn't know what I was doing and was just kinda a big monster wading through buildings here and there. I kinda went through a karate phase and actually used a couple of flying drop kicks when battling Megalon. But after seeing a Bruce Lee movie and what a short, scrawy little runt he turned out to be, I gave it up. As you can see I was lacking upper body development but had some good leg size.

The after photo is from 2000 after paying better attention to my diet and training. As a result I improved my upper body development, especially in the chest and shoulders. I attribute this to regular reactor raids and monster tossing. Walking through powerlines served as GPP as would train throwing and car stomping. Another important component was that I was getting plenty of rest. I made sure I got at least a year or two of sleep in the Japan Trench. I occasionally would wake to snack on a nuclear sub or feast on a power station.

This is me now. This was taken last year while I was working on my endurance training. I've leaned out a good bit now and lost some of what I thought was over-powering leg size. I also had a dorsal spike reduction done. Back in the late nineties I thought big spikes were so attractive, but now I realize they just get in the way.

Yeah, I was working out for a while but I wasn't getting enough carbs. So while I was carb depleted, I lost a lot of muscle mass.

I gained it all back when mike and LancerV gave me some tips, though.
