well, my moms car hasnt had any waxing done or whatever.. and over time, it started to look HORRIBLE. as in, swirls galore, and halograms everywhere.. so i took it in my own hands today and decided to get it fixed, cause afterall, i couldnt let my mom drive around in a car looking like garbage!

    item list:
meguiars claybar (tried doing it while car was still wet as opposed to spraying the detail stuffs, yielded pretty good results)

    NXT
    PC 7424

 That is a big damn difference! DACP really does a good job on that kind of stuff. What pad did you use? Did you also apply NXT by PC?

I think most of the holograms are drying streaks. Dark cars are tough because after drying the top half, the sides are nearly dry and you tend to get that kind of light marring.

BTW, you did go over that rear tire again in the second 'after' pic, right? Wouldn't want your Mom to drive a car with a dry patch without protectant on her tires. ;) The best way around that is after dressing the tires is to more the car forward or reverse 2 feet of so and redress the tires.

thanks for the comments, i pretty much owe my knowledge to scott :big grin:

anyhow, i used the orange cutting pad to apply the DACP.. i read about micromarring or smth.. i was thinking about going over with the polishing pad after.. but was short on time.

and yeah, i did move the car after to apply protectant.. hehe :big grin:

    oh, and it's not an m5 :)
