Fuck if this game still doesn't scare me as much as it did as when I was a kid.

never beat the first one, once I came back to the mansion and the hunters started raping me left and right I was too pussy enough to continue. Never had a single issue with any of the other RE's or silent hills but something about the atmosphere in 1 does it for me. Now I'm about to head out to the guesthouse after beating the snake, going to have to deal with the hunters again soon. :noes: I'm catching myself trying to put that off, either by quitting early or finding excuses to look around and kill crimson zombies.

Was it RE2 where you had to plug in your controller to the second port to beat a boss?

    Fucking cheap as fuck.

If you want to relive that feeling pick up a cube and the remake, systems only $20-30 and the game is around $20. They did such a good job with it, a lot of the scares you remember get changed around a bit, different puzzles, and a lot of new stuff to catch you off guard. I went through the L hallway numerous times shotgun at the ready expecting the dogs to jump out. Hours later when I finally figure they're not going to come through they leap out and still manage to get me off guard and health low

was that something to do with the tyrant? Only remember controller swapping with metal gear.
