A SPECIAL THANKS TO MIKE SWEENEY, STEVE GOGGINS, BECCA SWANSON, KARA BOHIGIAN, DONDELL BLUE

Those who witnessed yesterdays event will have alot to talk about! The meet was a success in every way. Due to the Colts football game, I did not expect such a big turnout. Everyone came, even had to request more chairs for seating.

Kara did some exciting lifting for the crowd. She has tons of endurance, four attempts with the last one being the best. Dondell Blue hit some huge numbers, then got on the mic and spoke to the crowd for a few minutes. Becca Swanson did a great exhibition for the crowd/fans, with a double overhand grip she pulled 550 for 10 reps. I was under the assumption she was gonna pull it for a triple, but when she got to third rep (as the crowd counted/screamed)she kept pulling and pulling. Steve Goggins did some pre-arnold deadlifting. Steve pulled a superfast 750. Steve was set for a huge high 800 pull but was unable to take the attempt. Towards the end there were some minor stage problems and I was told by hotel staff to end the deadlifting. Luckly it was the end and all registered lifters got there attempts in. Steve, thanks for understanding and I apologize again cause I know you wanted to pull more.

Kara, Blue, Becca, Steve were all polite and helpful the entire day. They spoke with the spectators and took out time to help others. I was lucky to have them here.

A special thanks to MIKE SWEENEY for coming to judge and help out. Mike made sure everything ran nice and smooth. He was helpful and pretty much took charge on the platform. Thanks Mike for everything.

A special thanks to Jereme Howery, John Biddle, and Mike Wolfe
Jereme and John made sure noone got hurt on the platform. Jereme is active duty in the (ARMY) and came back to help. Thanks Jereme! A special thanks to Mike Wolfe for helping out. Mike is a great guy, he did some judging and helped everyone out. Thanks Mike and look forward to seeing/helping you on the platform.

There were lifters ranging from 10-74 yrs old. Adam Hires won Best Lifter with [email protected] (close with 700). Jeremy and Greg Hines are strong up and coming teens. Jeremy [email protected], Greg [email protected] Nick Winters benched 600 raw. He paused it longer than necessary then shot it up fast. Nick is going to be great when he learns the shirt. Remember this name "NICK WINTERS". Luke Anderson (74yrs old) pulled 400. Jennifer Gates won the House Of Pain Model Search. There was lots of great lifting, look for the results in PLUSA.

THANKS INZER, GLC DIRECT AND HOUSE OF PAIN...With your help the event was a success. Everyone had fun!

if i forgot to thank anyone, only because i am tired

I tried doing rackpulls with double overhand a couple weeks ago and was struggling with 275. My alternating grip is decent though

is there any carryover from having a stronger double overhand to alternating?

might start throwing it in this cycle, double overhand doesn't alter your form at all?

I know a lot of people have better form when they switch to a hook grip. I would assume that going double overhand would be the same

double overhand feels alot better you dont have either side pulling funny. I am trying to work in hook grip for the heavier weights. I can probably pull double overhand into the low 5's. I tried hookgrip with 315 for a few sets of 5 the other day and it was pretty miserable. feels like the thumbnail is gonna rip off but apparently that goes away. my gf is an ol'er and she says it takes about 2-3 weeks of course they pull everyday
