beauty sleep

    About how much more sleep should you get when working out. I get about 7 hour a day and sometimes I feel like I am dragging at the gym.

    well, not necessarily. Have you over slept and got up and felt like shit? I have.

    Try this: try to sleep all the way through 90 minute intervals. That is, try to get sleep for 1.5hr, 3 hr, 4.5 hr, 6 hr, 7.5 hr, or 9 hr. It's probably more practical to try to get it at the 7.5 or 9 hour interval. This is supposed to work because our sleep consists of 90 minute cycles and we interrupt these cycles when we don't get the "right" time of sleep.

    This is something that was casually mentioned to me and I'm not sure how much scientific basis it has. But it seems that it have worked for me.
