Big Iron did a spectacular job on this meet. It was ran flawlessly and the judging was perfect!! If I ever run a meet this is the outline I would follow!! Great job Big Iron!! I had a fantastic time and a great day. I ended up placing 2nd in the 220's which is my highest placing at Nationals thus far. I'd also like to comment that all of the competitors were awesome!! It was like we were all one big family and had been friends for years. The comradery was unbelievable!! On to the lifts!!

Squat-I could have not asked for anything better here!! I knew things were going to go well when I hit 735 in the warm-up room easily without knee wraps. I haven't done that in a long time!!

1st attempt - 804-smoke show!! Almost wasn't enough weight to get me down. I got two whites and 1 red. Good lift!!

    2nd attempt - 854 PR!! 3 whites, total domination!!

3rd attempt - 903 PR!! 3 whites, Took it down and fired out of the hole, got stuck about 3/4 of the way up but was able to grind it out. Had to work a little but what a satisfied feeling when I got it!!

Bench - This went ok. I got 2 pr's and I now know that I just have to start hammering my lockout!

1st attempt - 567 PR!! - a little trouble with the handoff but still managed to anihilate this weight!!

2nd attempt - 584 PR!! - everything about this lift was perfect, the set up, groove, lockout, a perfectly executed lift!!

3rd attempt - 601 miss - still not sure exactly what went wrong here. Something in the setup I think, I just missed at lockout.

Deadlift - Very happy that this lift is starting to come back to life!!

    1st attempt - 557 - 3 whites

    2nd attempt - 606 - 3 whites

    3rd attempt - 633 - 3 whites

All of these attempts looked and felt the same. I had maybe another 30 pounds still in me on this lift today!!

So, I went 8 for 9 with a 2120 total. Not far from 10x bodyweight. A big thanx to Pat Roberts for handling me and to Mike McDaniel for the awsome knee wraps!! My girlfriend, Anna, was more than supportive and it was awesome to have her in my corner!! PurEvl, your advice and plan worked perfectly, thanx a million bro!!

powerlifting gear. Its almost unheard of for a multiply powerlifter to out pull their squat.

Awesome ray, im glad it worked out yet again. Maybe its time to talk about a new plan and maybe get you a 2300 at 220? I believe its closer then you think. Little tweak here and there outta do it. Your a genetic mutant bro.

How are the joints and body feeling?

Thanx Pur, 2300 is the goal for November. The weekend before Thanksgiving is the WPC Worlds in Florida. Squat-952 bench-651 dead-705. Thanx for the mutant comment!! I weighed at least 225 when I lifted, I was 228.5 this morning!! So, that's 27 weeks to prepare!! I feel great today. Just a little tightness in my lower back. Joints feel great!!

I really don't think Ray is a "genetic mutant." I think he work his ass off and gives 150%.
