Ok, i'm a college wrestler and i'm currently trying to cut weight, i currently weigh around 230, and i'm trying to get to 185 or so (i have a year, i dont want to cut down that far for this upcoming season, that would be nuts), i'm at roughly 18% body fat (i was at about 21% back last november, so this is an estimation).

I have read a couple things while doing a lil background checking that BCAA's help maintain muscle mass while dropping calories, has anyone had experience w/ this? Are the gains worth roughly 30 bucks a month on top of a five pound tub of protein? Do they have any plusses when it comes to bulking? Can you find it cheaper than http://www.bulknutrition.com/?products_id=1511 ?

    Thanks

IMO bcaas can be very beneficial

I buy those same exact bcaa's in the link you provided

I take them pre AM cardio (10g's bcaa on empty stomach then cardio)
and pre/during/post workout depending on my diet for the day... this is when I'm trying to drop BF

they are especially good when dieting b/c they are essential aminos and low cals and help you stay anti catabolic

when putting on mass I use them less b/c I am always anabolic; I will mainly use them for pre AM cardio

Mega-dosing BCAAs can be quite the challenge. Consistency is key, but I think for the effort and money spent the benefit falls somewhat short for me.

If I had to pick anything besides whey/fishoil to supplement, it would be BCAAs.
