i know, this thread isnt about the newest hottest tank top color to wear at the gym, sorry.

anyway, this has been an ongoing debate.

best to take BCAAs and let them do their thing, or get the protein direct?

how about taking bcaas as a supp at all?

    discuss. :)

BCAAs and Protein should be taken throughout the course of the day. they are hand-in-hand related. its not a one or the other argument

I think he is asking about BCAA supplementation in addition to normal protien intake. At least I hope that's what he's asking.

If you are getting plenty of complete proteins you don't need them

well, we all know protein is essentially made from amino acids (the soy vs whey thing is another debate).

im just curious on peoples opinions of taking a protein with bcaas, or a complete amino supplement, or both.

personally - take the protein if you need it(ie, you lift weights), and get the added benefit from the bcaas included.

thanks for including in what could be an intriguiging discussion, but like anything usefull in OT, it fails. proves my heavily moderated opnion every time. :big grin:

I use BCAA's pre and post-workout and then follow that up with a whey shake. Seems to work pretty good and helps me during the workout. I feel like I don't get fatigued as easily.
