I'm dieting hard as fuck and even I find 30g BCAA during workout excessive for 99% of people.

If you're eating right, there's no need for 30g's of BCAA's anyway

I do think that BCAAs during workouts are a good idea.

If you are currently taking in 300-400 grams of protein per day, I challenge you to try 200 grams

200grams protein + 80 grams bcaa + 20 grams glutamine = 300 grams protein calorie wise at least

No supplements for home, protein intake for 300, but is it for 200 like 300g when you take it with 80g BCAA?

I wish macro were around to chime in on this. I've heard both sides regarding the caloric content of amino acids.

In general, I don't think people count them towards their daily totals. according to the FDA, free form amino acids are calorie free. they require no energy from the body to digest.

on the other hand, they can be used as fuel for the body :dunno: so they must have some type of caloric content

You're supposed to take BCAAs DURING your workout? I always drink it in the car immediately AFTER. And I just use 2 scoops of EXTEND...

I've started drinking it religiously during workouts since January and while I can't tell much of a difference my training partners and slampig have both said I look a lot bigger. :dunno:
